If you’re interested in playing croquet or just trying it out we have several ways in which you can play on our fantastic lawns.
Haven’t played before?
If you haven’t played before then you can try it out free of charge on one of our Open Days. These are the first Sunday afternoons in May, June, July and August. We also have another free Open Day on National Croquet Day, usually in May or early June – check our Diary for details. No booking is required – just turn up!
We also run an Introduction to Croquet Course for one or two days in April/May for novices or those who have played croquet informally before. We make a charge for this – see our Diary for the dates and click on the link for more details.
If you can’t make these dates then please contact us – we can always run a special for you on a convenient date. The charge will be more than the scheduled course, typically starting at £100 per day, but if you have some other colleagues, friends or family who want to give it a go, the price per head will obviously be less.
We can also run a private event for you. No experience is needed, but there’s a minimum charge, so why don’t you get a group of like minded people together for a bit fun! See our Private Events page for more details. We only play Golf Croquet during these events.
Played before or just visiting?
Why not join us for one of our regular sessions – see our Diary for details. Alternatively contact our Secretary and see if we can make an arrangement to meet you on another day. We make a green fee charge of £4 for a half-day club session (£7 for a day). Except for overseas visitors you can play a maximum of three times at these rates before we’ll ask you to join.
Of course, you can join in one of our Open Tournaments, see our Diary for more details.
