This year we have chosen Macmillan Nurses\, the nomination of Mo Boys\, of the Camerton & Peasedown club.  Macmillan (www.macmillan.org.uk) does a tremendously good job of providing advice and practical support to those with cancer\, and I am sure many of your members have in the past been touched by the work of this wonderful organisation. The house colour of the charity is green and all players in heats and the final are encouraged to wear something green. \nThis national\, charity competition just keeps getting bigger each year and raises more and more for good causes. Last year we had 588 participants in 44 heats and raised a massive £6870 (including Gift Aid) for the Alzheimer’s Society. Well done! The structure of this year’s competition remains much the same – organise your club heats however you wish – and we continue to encourage GC players to try out this easier AC variant. Over the years\, many get to the final and sometimes they win.”
