Finals Day glory

for some… especially Thomas Cullis who won two finals after playing for some 8 hours and a handicap reduction again!

It was a lovely day with quite a few spectators enjoying the fine weather and some good (and some not so good) croquet which finished after 6pm. The lawns were in goodish condition, but much slower than two weeks previously due to the amount of rain we’ve recently had, so some people struggled to hit balls across the lawns.

Major badger damage has occurred again, but only one or two spots were inside the court lines luckily, so play was essentially unaffected.

Thanks especially to Kate Sander for the excellent lunch.
