SECF Golf Handicap League – we beat Canterbury 6:3

They arrived so early that we had to wait until Ray had completed his mowing before starting, but this did give us time for an extended coffee and chat.

The sprinkler problems have led to the lawns being even more variable in speed, but mainly much faster than usual, so it was trickier to judge the strength of strokes.

Nevertheless we did manage to do so and prevailed by 6 match to 3, an unusual occurrence for us in the recent past.

Unfortunately our hospitality didn’t extend to help on the way home as the hold-ups at the port of Dover backed up into the M2/M20 causing some delays on their way home. Let’s hope this is resolved by the time we have to visit them (or Ramsgate).
