SECF Golf Restricted League v Sussex County – lost 1:6

The same team [Jane Smith, Gerald O’Brien, Michael Gentry and Jeff Chapman] played in both recent SECF GCR league away matches.

Against Surbiton all took some time to adjust to the faster lawns and the team eventually lost 3-4 with Gerald winning both his singles matches and Jeff losing 1-2 on the Golden hoop in the deciding match.

Against Southwick the team again lost, this time 1-6, but all matches were close with five of the matches requiring 3 games. Michael and Jeff again won the doubles and Jane took a game in her level play match against a player with a three lower handicap.
