TW @ SECF One Ball Tournaments
We had an enjoyable day as guests of the Canterbury Croquet Club to compete in the One Ball tournament. Four other clubs were competing in this Covid-limited season – Ramsgate, Medway, Surbiton and Canterbury itself.
Though we did not cover ourselves in glory, between us winning only four games, some were closely fought. John Moore had a particularly tight battle with a young Spanish player from Surbiton in what was the last match of the day.
As usual, Canterbury lived up to its reputation for warm and generous hospitality and everyone appreciated the privilege of being able to compete again.
