Narrow victory at Reigate

We made an encouraging start to our season in the Croquet South-East Golf Croquet Handicap league, winning 5-4 away to Reigate Priory on 17 June.

The opening round of two doubles was shared, with Michael Sander and Dave Grimshaw recording a win in their game.

The second round, of four singles games, was also shared with two wins apiece – Kate Sander and Dave both securing wins.

After the lunch break, Dave scored another victory but Kate lost her singles game, leaving the match tied at 4-4 with the result hinging on the final doubles match. Trevor Houghton-Berry and Michael Sander managed to win 7-5, completing a 5-4 win for Tunbridge Wells overall.
