Robert Fulford meets his old adversary Reg Bamford in the GC World Championship Semi-final
Robert won his quarter-final against previous twice-World Champion Ahmed Nasr from Egypt by three games to two.
He won 7-4, 7-5, 3-7, 3-7, 7-4 after more than six hours of play and meets.
The other semi was a more straightforward affairs and won by a straight three games to nil.
For the first time ever there is no Egyptian representative in the semi-finals – Reg Bamford from South Africa, Matthew Essick from the USA and Robert Fletcher from Australia are the other players. 3 AC World Champions and one AC runner-up… Who said Association players can’t play Golf Croquet?
Videos of many games with commentaries (much needed I think) are available in the Croquet England YouTube channel.
The semi-finals are tomorrow and the final takes place on Sunday – entry fee £10.
