Richard Coward wins Pegasus Plate

Our annual AC handicap tournament hasn’t been run for a few years, so we deliberately chose the hottest day of the year to reintroduce it. This made the lawns a bit faster than usual and so most of the games went on a long time, but managed just to finish within the three hour time limit.

A broken mallet shaft managed to handicap Gerald, but the replacement from our stock seemed to work well enough.

However Richard from High Wycombe (a first timer from this club for us) won at a canter, winning all 5 games, albeit some by a small margin.
